This is a two weeks intensive training course that will introduce you to healthcare and enable you to develop basic skills and knowledge in preparation to pursue a career within healthcare sector, progress onto further education, or look for work within allied industries. The course is divided into theory in the classroom and practical placement under supervision in a residential or nursing home.

  • Common Medications used by Patients and other documentation

  • Health & Safety at work and Principles of Moving and Handling
  • Basic First Aid
  • Basic practical i.e. Measurement of Blood Pressure, Pulse         Rate, Respiration Rate etc
